[973] Drama ‘Poseidon”s Production is Delayed… Actors are About to Lay Off Their Role

Drama ‘Poseidon’ is on the verge of being canceled. ‘Poseidon’, a drama whose story is dedicated to special rescue team in marine police that includes casts such as Eric Moon, Kim Kang Woo, Kim Ok Bin, U-Know Yunho (TVXQ), and Jun Hyebin–was gathering a round of attention earlier for its luxury casts.

The drama had started to film late last year in December, however due to weather problem and Yeonpyeong-do island attack incident, the filming was put in a halt. SBS is in midst of discussion of the drama’s possible airing in the middle of May yet the unstable condition of broadcast schedule during that period gives even more problem to the drama’s production.

Making even worse, during the production discussion, most of ‘Poseidon”s lead actors were said to lay off their casts in the drama. During the end of last year, Eric and the other lead actors had filmed for 1 week that captured about 20% of the drama’s storyline, but Kim Kang Woo and Kim Ok Bin had announced their exit from the production.

Eric’s official revealed on the 6th, “The filming that was scheduled to resume in March had been delayed again, thus leads to a frustrating condition. We don’t know what is happening now neither when we’re going to continue the filming. For now we’ll be waiting for the production notification first.”

U-Know Yunho official from his agency also said, “We haven’t made any decision to get out from the production.”

Meanwhile Poseidon drama official confirmed, “We’ve delayed to resume filming in March it’s true. Currently we’re in the middle of organizing shooting schedule in April and also schedule to retake some filming scenes. The drama is not yet collapsed now. We’re also in negotiation to cast new actors and re-organize the drama’s scripts.”

‘Poseidon’ was priorly scheduled to air in May as the successor of current broadcast drama ‘Midas’.

“Poseidon” cancels March filming, cast becomes tired of waiting

Eric’s upcoming drama, “Poseidon“, was previously scheduled to resume filming in March, but it was recently revealed that the filming was canceled, leading many to question the future of the drama.

“Poseidon” first began filming last year, and recorded up to five episodes’ worth of footage. However, due to the Yeonpyeong Island skirmish that took place last December, future filmings were postponed until March. Unfortunately, the project still lacks a confirmed filming schedule as of April 7th.

With the absence of developments, the actors are considering dropping out from the drama altogether.

On April 7th, a representative of one of the cast members spoke through Star News and revealed, “We had no option but to begin filming for another drama while ‘Poseidon’ continued postponing their filming schedule. Even if they were to begin filming again, it’s going to be difficult for us to return due to our conflicting schedules.”

Another representative commented, “There are talks of the drama being filmed completely before its air date, but we can’t just continue waiting like this.”

[965] Yunho to visit his hometown for SBS’s new variety show

TVXQ’s Yunho will be the first star to guest on SBS’s new variety program “Dalgona“, which will be hosted by MCs Lee Soo Geun, Lee Hwi Jae, and Lee Young Ah.

The show will travel with stars to their hometown, and document them as they give thanks and presents to the residents and figures who have impacted their lives. The celebrity will personally comment on their trip from Seoul to their hometown through a live personal cam.

The show’s pilot episode was aired last December, and producers decided to go ahead and add it to the line-up this year. Yunho will be recording his episode on April 4th in his hometown of Jeolla-do, Kwangju. The episode is scheduled to air sometime in the latter half of the month.

“A friendship without boundaries, almost like love”

After more than a year, Asia’s pride to the rest of the world, Tohoshinki, is back again with their promotions. Becoming more mature, and gaining more popularity, Yunho and Changmin gathered in Tokyo for a photoshoot. Afterwhich, they talked about how they felt towards one another, to how it is like to perform as an artiste now. Because it was an interview with Vogue, the conversation was full of passion and interest.

1. What do you respect about one another?
Yunho: No matter what work or task it is, he is able to face it calmly.
Changmin: He has a positive and enthusiastic character, and adapts very quickly.

2. Living together, has there been any happy or difficult issues?
Yunho: We don’t always stay at home, we go outside sometimes. Also, Changmin’s room is very clean, anyone who stays there would be happy.

Yunho: As expected, the happiest moment is when I am on stage. It has a feeling of being alive, because I can bring good songs to our fans.
Changmin: 2010’s SM TOWN. To me and Yunho, that was a stage that was not easy to come by. At that time, we felt, “Really, the stage is where we belong.”

5. When you are tired, what kind of words are able to encourage yourself like a spell?
Yunho: At these kind of times, listening to these words makes me happy, “If it’s Yunho, then it definitely can be done.”
Changmin: I have to work hard for my future wife.

6. What is the most precious thing to you?
Yunho: I feel that everything has a unique meaning to me, there is nothing that is particularly special.

7. What kind of characteristics must a friend have?
Yunho: Mutual trust and dependence, and have the same beliefs.
Changmin: Mutual understanding.

8. Do you wish for your girlfriend to dress up fashionable manner?
Yunho: I hope for that person to wear something that gives off a sweet feel, or a long T-shirt style, to give off an able or independent feel.
Changmin: There is no need to be too fancy. As for her style, as long as it suits her, anything is good.

9. What expectations do you have of your female partner in future?
Yunho: To trust me no matter what happens, to live positively, and to be someone who is kind at heart.
Changmin: Because of the nature of my work, I don’t have a regular lifestyle, I hope she can understand that.

10. Where and what do you want to do in 5 years time?
Yunho: Not only in Asia, but also to hold concerts at even further places, to bring to the fans who have waited for us more good music. As for myself personally, I wish to be with the person I love, traveling around the world and volunteering at the same time.
Changmin: I still want to be doing what I’m doing now.


For this interview, 10 questions were presented to them. They were translated into Korean and then prepared on an A4 sheet for them to answer. Changmin answered our Korean questions by writing in Japanese, it was very kind of him. Even though Yunho answered them in Korean, his handwriting was extremely clear and neat. Yunho is of A blood-type, but messing up his room is not typical of an A blood-type, so this trait has been characterized by fans as one of the 7 unbelievable points of Yunho. It makes one see the irony of the seemingly typical and perfect A blood-type Yunho answering questions seriously.


Changmin: “Because Yunho always messes up the room, it bothers me. Up till now, we’ve always been living together. Even though I pack and clean up the place, it will always be made messy after that. Now that we have our own rooms, we can have our own space, so it feels much better. Other than that point that I wish he would change, I think there is nothing else.”

Yunho: “Even though that’s how it is, but this person is not really that neat. However, perhaps in comparison to me, he’s much better. It’s something like that. (Laughs) ”


When changing between outfits, there was a lot of walking to and fro from the shooting scene to the resting area. Yunho always held onto the interview sheet and his pen, and with whatever spare time he had, he was always writing on it, as cute as a student. And because he was holding onto his pen, his large arms were displayed like his small face, he is really strong. (T/N: I think the writer meant that his arms were as big as his small face XD) Even though Yunho and Changmin have different characters, but within every character lies an adorable side, a manly and charismatic side, a considerate side, a shy side and many other charms combined together. When so many charms are joined together to form a chemical reaction, it will explode and form a new and unpredictable image.

The new song “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)” is about a breakup. The Korean version of the album with the same title, also features a sorrowful breakup song, and sexy love songs. Since they have sung so many love songs, we tried to ask them some questions about their ideal relationship now.


Yunho: “I really like clothes that give off a sweet feel. However, a long T-shirt and jeans is also not bad. Wearing a suit gives off a feeling of smartness and seems intellectual.”
Vogue: “Sweet looking clothes, jeans and suits seem to be very expensive…”
Yunho: “About that.. it seems so…” (Bursts out laughing)
Vogue: “Let’s change the question now, what else do you expect in your future partner?”
Yunho: “It’s best if my other half can trust me enough, if she does not trust me, then it means that I have not protected her enough for her to trust me. I believe that is all…”


“Caring for one another, two people who compliment each other.”

Changmin: “I envy how he is able to control and change his moods quickly, and continue moving forward.”
Yunho: “Looking at how Changmin is able to continue with his work calmly, it makes me, as an older brother, feel very happy.”

Changmin: “Yunho’s character is one that is very positive and forward-looking, and he adapts very quickly. On the contrary, when I am caught in certain moods or situations, I adapt very slowly, and it becomes very difficult for me to stand up again. Even though I have tried to become more positive and enthusiastic, perhaps it is because I have always hidden in the back since I was young, so such a lifestyle is difficult to change. Hence, I really envy how Yunho adapts so quickly, and then continues moving forward.”

Yunho: “Changmin is very calm, and he will work in the direction that ensures that things are done correctly. He will try and ask the staff members around first, and then come up with his own deductions, so there is hardly any chance of failure.”

Changmin: “Perhaps that is because I don’t want to let others see that I have failed, so that seems to be the correct way to do things.”

Yunho: “I understand. (Laughs) But to see such a calm and hardworking Changmin, I feel very happy as your older brother.”
