TVXQ! who releases new single, Android, on July 11th held a fan club event called “The Mission” on June 30th in Saitama Super Arena.
TVXQ! fanclub BigEast restarted on last August 1st. This fan club event, held for the first time in three and a half years, is larger than ever before and held 8 times in Saitama and Kobe to bring about 100,000 fans. The stadium was filled with red BigEast towel and pen light.
For this event, TVXQ! and the fans collectively attempt various missions, as the title “The Mission” suggests. The first mission for the fans was to “greet TVXQ! with loud scream”. There was ear-blowing TVXQ! call from 18,000 audience to bring out the two members of TVXQ!, covered in chic black outfit, to the stage.

“You think I’ll be ok? I’m kind of bad at missions,” uneasily said Yunho. However, whether Yunho was uneasy or not, the boss called for the next mission. The second mission was to “style the dummy!” TVXQ! was required to borrow accessories, hats, etc. from the fans in the stadium to style a dummy with a white shirt, and this was supposed to test the duo’s fashion sense.
The theme was “a style to wear to go see a baseball game.” The two walked around the isles to get items they thought would suit the style. After much search with phrases such as “I need a hat,” and “Oh I think that’ll do well,” Yunho chose a red towel and a hairband with ears, sticking strongly to his opinion that “there’s a lot of people at the stadium so you gotta stand out”. In the mission “show a surprising talent of yourself!” the two showed the fans a new talent that they’ve never shown to the public. Changmin went first to sing a song while playing a guitar, under the title “The Private Changmin Show”. He said “I might make some mistakes… please forgive me” and started singing nervously “More than Words” by Extreme. He shouted “I forgot the lyrics~!” at one point, but the fans were all in love with the sweet singing and the guitar sound. “I knew it was too early to play this in front of you,” said Changmin with embarrassed smiles.
On the other hand, Yunho played with the fans’ mind and brought out a cooking corner, titled “Ho’s Kitchen” (the fans were expecting a dance stage). Yunho made “yache bibim somyeon” for the “fans to make easily at home,” but Yunho apparently “didn’t cook after becoming a member of TVXQ!” and made the fans nervous as he dealt with the knife. Regardless of such worries, Yunho was all excited, singing “I’m Yunho chef♪” Changmin was responsible for the sample taste once all the cooking was done. He was initially very nervous, saying “Do I have to eat this?”, but when he actually tried it out, he was pleasantly surprised. “It’s good. It might actually be better than the bibim myeon that I make at home!” was his comment. Yunho also complimented himself, saying “It’s delicious!!” and smiled a proud smile.
Exhibited the new song for the first time
In the mission, “Send the BigEast your thanks,” TVXQ! showed their gratitude by presenting a live stage. They started with “Break Out!” followed by the new single “Android” which came on stage for the first time. The powerful music, which is TVXQ!’s best charm, put the stadium go wild.
When TVXQ! covered the OP theme of One Piece “We Are!”, the fans were most excited. The ballad, “Toki Wo Tomete” appealed their singing ability, and the last song, “Weep” brought out a unity in the stadium with everyone singing the song together.
After the two hour long event, Changmin smiled and said, “we did tens of lives this year, but I was most nervous today. It was very fun!” Yunho said “We cooked and played guitar in front of everyone today, and it was an unforgettable memory for TVXQ!” and “we’ll show you new aspects of TVXQ! from now on as well through various live!”
