100708 Actor Yunho: “Believing In Yourself Is Most Important”
Tohoshinki’s Yunho has completed his debut TV drama [No Limit~Heading to the Ground~]. The activities to commemorate the DVD release of this project started off on 26 June, in Tokyo. After such a long break, Yunho once again showed his energetic self to the fans and accepted many media interviews.
This work revolves around the talent, yet unlucky, soccer player Cha Bong Gun; a youthful romance-comedy about his continuous growth. As a member of Tohoshinki, up until now, Yunho, who has driven girls around Asia crazy with their many songs and performances, gave his all to this project from summer last year. Yunho acted as the passionate lead, Cha Bong Gun.
Yunho, who is both a singer and actor, felt the differences greatly. “The singer Yunho, gives off a powerful image on stage. As for the actor Yunho, he had an image that was gentle and warm. I was very happy that I could show a new side of myself.”
“A singer, an actor, my true self; although those personas are different they all follow the same belief – Believing in yourself is the most important. The singer Yunho only has precious 3 minutes in which to capture the audience with stage charisma. The actor Yunho has to place emphasis on communicating. I have to ‘breathe’ with my co-stars to ensure smooth communication flow so that we can work together well. As for Yunho, my true self, I am the kind of person that will fight hard even if there are hurdles to overcome, and from there, attain good results.”

It’s been reported that tickets for the musical ‘Goong’ which Uknow Yunho is starring in sold out in just 2 minutes of opening.
Musical ‘Goong’ advance ticket provider Interpark, concerned with server failure opened advance tickets sales at 9:00 p.m. on the 8th after (conducting) homepage/site maintenance. The tickets opened today applies to September 8-19 (performances).
The 2 shows that Uknow Yunho is starring in sold out in less than 2 minutes of opening, leading to a hot reaction for his other shows.
Producer Group 8 revealed that, “We have been inundated with rushed phone inquiries from audience of overseas countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and of course domestic who couldn’t get the tickets.” “We hope that the public’s interest in the musical ‘Goong’ will lead to the potential to promote Korea’s musical works overseas.
Meanwhile, ‘Goong’ has casted Uknow Yunho, Kim Dong Ho, and Run for the role of crown prince Lee Shin, Kwak Seon Young and Shin Eui Jung for the role of tomboy teenage girl Chae Kyung, Lee Chang Hee and Jung Dong Hwa for the role of Lee Yul who dreams of becoming the king and Choi Soo Jin and Seo Hyun Jin for the role of crown prince’s former girlfriend, Min Hyo Rin.
The second set of tickets will open on the 13th at 9:00 p.m. through Interpark.

100707 Musical “Goong” To Show Overseas Starting January Next Year
The musical adaptation of hit TV series “Goong” will show overseas next year, according to the musical’s producer Group 8 on Wednesday.
Park Rae-hyun, a PR official from Group 8 told 10Asia over the phone that producers will take the show to countries outside of Asia, starting with Japan, in January 2010.
He added that the company has yet to decide on the official dates and locations for its overseas run — details for its showing throughout South Korea will be set first.
In Seoul, the musical will run at the National Museum of Korea from September 8 to October 24 and continue on into other provinces in the country until the end of the year.
U-Know Yunho, Kim Dong-ho and RUN will play the lead crown prince role of Lee Shin and actresses Gwak Sun-young and Shin Eui-jung will take over the role of the tomboyish Chae-kyeong.
“Goong,” originally based on the best selling comic series of the same name, is about an average high-school girl marrying a royal prince in 21st century Korea, which is in fiction a monarchical country.
It was adapted for the small screen in 2006 and was a huge hit in the country recording viewership ratings in the high 30 percent mark and turning the two leads, Yoon Eun-hye and Joo Ji-hoon, into household names.
The drama was sold to 23 countries including China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and the United States, creating a Hallyu craze among the fans, particularly in Asia.

Uknow Yunho, First Plunge into Rehearsal “I Want to Focus on Goong Only”
Musical verion of popular MBC drama ‘Goong’ which ended production in 2006 has finally kicked off.
The unique musical ‘Goong’ set in 2010 Republic of Korea’s Constitutional Monarchy plunged into its first rehearsal yesterday.
Uknow Yunho who plays the role of crown prince Lee Shin and Lee Chang Hee who plays the role of prince Uiseong Lee Yul, who dreams of becoming the King, even showed instant tension in their combative acting.
On this day, in order to encourage the cast with the rehearsal, fans had various food items prepared and forwarded it to the cast and crew and sent a message of support.
Uknow Yunho personally took the food items that the fans prepared and handed/served the food from the actors to the youngest staff, carefully taking care of them.
He announced with determination, “Since it’s my first musical, I want to act with the heart of a rookie. Among the male actors, I’m also actually the youngest.” “With the staff and actors who have gathered here today with one thing in mind, I want to just focus on ‘Goong’.

Goong tickets will be open for advance ticket sales to the public on July 8 starting at 9:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from National Museum Theater 'Yong', Interpark, Auction Ticket, and Ticket Link.

They might be shocked…so I just said…ah, yes (lol nodded his head and said it very politely and femininely) That’s what I did..because if I said, what are you doing/suggesting…there might be an even more confusing/weird situation..so…but nowadays since I’ve debut (more people recognize him so now people know him as just as pretty guy)

Summary of some accounts:
Yunho seemed very relaxed, like being at home.
When he read the letter, lots of people cried again. When he finished, he told the fans "This is a problem"...hehe he must have seen/heard the fans cry.
The theme of Best 3 was the Best 3 eating scenes. Don't know what #3 was but #2 was scene eating eel and #1 was scene eating bibimbap and ramen.
Yunho kept saying Osaka and saying some Osaka dialect(there must have been tons of Osaka fans since it's near Kobe)creating a little mischief.
Due to fans' expectation, he danced a little (want to see this please)
At the end, he looked a little somber. He said,"This is just the start/beginning.." "I want to show various sides of me. I'm still trying even now so I can do that. I feel relieved meeting everyone from Osaka. It gave me huge strength, I like/love you."
